The Arches-Worcester festival team are looking for volunteers to help bring the city’s four brand new festivals to life in 2020.

Enthusiastic and approachable volunteers, eager to get stuck in with every element of staging unforgettable events are being sought by the new festival team. No experience is necessary, applicants just need to be over 18, energetic and enjoy meeting and helping others.

David Edmunds, festival director said: “Our volunteers will be a really important and integral part of our festivals, helping to make sure everything runs smoothly and that everyone who comes along to take part has a fantastic time. There will be a lot to do from dressing the festival site and collecting feedback to meeting and greeting visitors and looking after information points – all hugely important tasks for the success of our festivals.”

Volunteers are required in the first instance for the lead up to and on the night of Light Night Worcester, the first of the 2020 festivals. Light Night, with a programme of stunning light installations, music and performances, is taking place across the city centre on Thursday 16 January from 5.30 – 10pm. Anyone interested in volunteering should visit Severn Arts website or call 01905 953832 for application details.

The festival team are also looking for volunteers to help with Atmosphere: the second new festival taking place on Saturday 25 April, Disrupting the Norm: the third festival taking place from 6 – 11 July and Worcester’s International Story Festival which will take place in October.
